NEW INSTRUCTION - NEEDLER HALL, COTTINGHAM

Published on Monday, 12 January 2015

The University of Hull has instructed Clark Weightman to sell Needler Hall in Cottingham.

Needler Hall is a highly prominent property in the centre of Cottingham with frontage to both King Street and Northgate.  The site is currently used as a 173 bedroom Student Hall of residence.  The total site area is just over four acres.

Simon Weightman a Director at Clark Weightman is handling the sale.  Simon commented: “The University had decided that Needler Hall is to be replaced with more modern student accommodation closer to the University’s main campus and we are now offering the land and buildings at Needler Hall for sale by informal tender.  The site is allocated in the draft East Riding Local Plan for housing and/or retail uses and our marketing efforts are very much focused towards developers in these sectors.  Needler Hall will continue to be used as Hall of Residence until the summer of 2016 which will give a purchaser sufficient time to obtain planning permission for their proposed redevelopment”.

The deadline for offers is 12 noon on Friday, 6th March 2015.
