DIY store operator Wickes has opened its most recent new store at Gateway Park in Grimsby.
The store, with over 20,000 sq ft of floor space, has opened adjacent to the existing McDonalds and KFC Drive-Thru restaurants on this highly prominent site at the junction of Birchin Way and Pyewipe Road at the entrance to the town just off the A180. The home improvement, garden supplies and DIY retailer has over 200 stores throughout the UK and is part of the Travis Perkins group of companies.
The site for their new store was marketed by Clark Weightman. Director Carl Bradley said “We are delighted to welcome Wickes to the Gateway Park development. This is a strategic site at the entrance to Grimsby and I am confident that Wickes will benefit from this high profile location. We are now putting in place plans to market the remainder of the site which includes a 4,000 sq ft autocentre unit and a further 4.5 acres of land which is suitable for trade counter, hotel and leisure uses.
