Clark Weightman team members Simon and Helen Weightman attended the Property Agents Independent (PAI) summer visit in Liverpool on the 27th and 28th June.
The great British Summer arrived with glorious sunshine as 20 PAI members assembled in Liverpool, with eager anticipation for what lay ahead…..they were not to be disappointed!!
The Tour started in lively fashion with an invitation from CastleForge to see their refurbishment of Edward Pavilion at Albert Dock - an 80,000 sq ft landmark building within the world famous Albert Dock. Our hosts provided a 4 course lunch and copious amounts of Champagne, Cold Beer and Wine…..an excellent start to the visit!
This was followed by a walking tour of Liverpool One Shopping Centre, hosted by PAI member Charles Hubbard.
An excellent evening meal followed at one of the City’s finest restaurants followed by a visit to the bars in Concert Square, which were “rocking“ due to the fantastic weather.
On Friday morning, we enjoyed an excellent presentation on the Liverpool Waters Development ,by Ian Pollitt from Peel Land and Property. This was followed by a walking tour of Peels flagship Office and Residential Development at Princes Dock, plus a coach tour of the Liverpool Waters Dockside Development site, which was fascinating.
Harcourt Developments also allowed us to see the Titanic Hotel and Stanley Dock complex as part of this tour .Stanley Dock contains the” Tobacco warehouse” which is the world’s largest brick built warehouse and is currently being refurbished to Apartments plus waterside leisure /Commercial.
The visit ended with Lunch at The Philharmonic Pub in The University quarter, which is one of the City’s most famous gastro pubs.
