CONFIDENCE IN OCCUPIER DEMAND PROMPTS DEVELOPMENT IN BRIGG

Published on Friday, 19 February 2016

Confidence in occupier demand has meant that a development, previously put on hold during the recession, is now being completed with a range of units being ready for occupation during the Spring.

The development on Atherton Way in Brigg provides 8 new build industrial/warehouse units typically being either 2,500 sq ft in size or 3,800 sq ft.

The units have been built to a high standard and are of steel portal frame construction with full height brick and blockwork walls under an insulated profile sheet clad roof.  Each unit has an insulated up and over sectional door, steel personnel door, office with uPVC double glazed window and male and female WCs.  The units have an eaves height of 4.6 metres (15 ft).  Externally there is an open plan forecourt/yard arrangement with ample parking and circulation space.

Rents start at £11,000 per annum.

Clark Weightman Director Carl Bradley is leading the marketing of the units.  Carl said:

“Development started some time ago but was put on hold due to the recession and credit crunch.  We have seen a steady increase in the number of enquiries for industrial/warehouse units in Brigg, with a lot of these enquiries being unsatisfied due to the lack of suitable space available.  This increase in demand and general improvement in the economic climate has given our landlord client the confidence to complete the development.  There is nothing comparable available in the town at the present time and whilst we don’t expect a full estate overnight, would encourage people to register their interest quickly as we expect the response to the marketing of the units to be very positive.”
