Tower Grange Police Station has been a landmark on Hull’s busy Holderness Road for six decades but the property has now been sold making way for the new owners to redevelop the site.
Director Carl Bradley who dealt with the sale said “Whilst the new owners are keeping their plans confidential at the present time it is logical that the building will be redeveloped for residential purposes, possibly with some retail at the ground floor level.”
The property was put up for sale at the end of last year following the relocation of the policing teams from Tower Grange to other sites across the city. The building has a net internal area of 1,972 sq m (21,226 sq ft) and stands in a site of 0.57 acres benefiting from 40 car parking spaces situated at ground and on a first floor deck car park.
The property had been offered for sale at a guide price of £350,000 for the freehold interest.
