At Clark Weightman we have recently successfully completed the sale of three high profile commercial property investments in the Humber Region.
The first sale was the new Costa Drive Thru and Subway at Birchin Way in Grimsby. This was the final piece of the property equivalent of a jigsaw puzzle which has been completed over a number of years. Other adjoining occupiers on the development included Humberside Police and Wickes. Birchin Way is a gateway site, adjacent to the A180 on the entrance to Grimsby. Bought by a private buyer this will be an excellent addition to their portfolio.
The second sale was a sale and leaseback on Priory Park in Hull. We advised the owners of the business on suitable lease terms and pricing before marketing the freehold interest and securing a sale in excess of the original guide price. The property has been purchased by a north west based Property Company.
The third sale comprised a modern detached industrial unit, close to the Port of Immingham. After a period of marketing, offers were invited, with terms being agreed with the existing tenant who has now purchased the freehold, securing their long term future in this location.
Elsewhere we have agreed terms for the sale of a hot food takeaway with flat above and are marketing a mixed retail / leisure investment in Cleethorpes and the Great Grimsby Seafood Village.
